USB Flash Drive Part 1

Newegg just delivered a CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB Flash Drive

  1. Now what? TrueCrypt 6.0, is the ultimate way to keep anything portable safe. I use it both on my flash drive and on my laptop.
  2. Next I added PortableApps.com

PortableApps.com Suite is a complete collection of portable apps including a web browser, email client, office suite, calendar/scheduler, instant messaging client, antivirus, audio player, sudoku game, password manager, PDF reader, minesweeper clone, backup utility and integrated menu, all preconfigured to work portably. Just drop it on your portable device and you’re ready to go.

Included Applications

All versions of the PortableApps.com Suite include the integrated PortableApps.com Menu and the PortableApps.com Backup utility along with a set of custom icons, an autoplay configuration, folders and a quick start shortcut. I decided to stay with the following apps and will continue to add/remove as needed.

Sunbird

Firefox

Pidgin

Sumatra PDF Portable

Sudoku

Open Office

VLC Media Player

ClamWin Portable Antivirius

Thunderbird w/lightning

The Gimp! (still shocked that this is included)

and more…

Now I can securely browser the web and make sure all of my documents do not leave any traces behind.
